Just got a 2020 Alpine white M550i!

Hello everyone.

Traded in my Alpine White F10 M5 for a CPO 2020 Alpine White M550i with 29k miles. (Executive package, Dynamic handling package, Driving assistance plus package, premium package, parking assistance package)
(668m wheels, Nappa leather, heated steering wheel) Its pretty loaded. I wish it had the B&W sound system though.

I'm so happy with the decision. I was waiting for a 2021 to popup somewhere because I loved how the headlights and taillights look but the price difference wasn't worth it to me after i started to compare them.

I LOVE this car though! I can always get aftermarket LCI style taillights that are on the 2021+ i guess. Bimmer plug has them for 1000 bucks and are plug and play. I just wonder for that price will the quality be good? Are they better than cheap ebay ones?

Coming from a stage 2 catless f10 M5 to this M550 i was worried about missing the sound, but after watching videos of the remus catback on m550i's ill be plenty happy once i get the REMUS. I don't plan on downpipes or tune. I have the extended bumper to bumper warranty so I don't want to ruin that plus this car has plenty of power for me. I'm passed the phase of needing the most power all the time lol.

CTS intakes on the way, Remus Exhaust next, some carbon bits, and either bronze or black wheels and i think thatll be it for me.

Amazing car! interior is such an upgrade to F10 M5

Congrats on the car. We have the same exact specs but I have Bluestone Metallic. I opted for the resonator delete and it sounds amazing. $200 cut and weld versus $2400 exhaust system. I also wish I had the B&W system but the HK sounds great. But again congrats.

Congrats and welcome!!

Good choice going with Remus, I think m0d bargains still have a catback system in stock. The Remus has been out of stock everywhere, hopefully you can scoop one up. I'm biased as I love the way Remus sounds, enjoy!!!

Congrats on the new ride!
Do your research on the CTS intake. People have installed them and lost time in 1/4 mile runs due to heat soak. The closed air intakes we have were designed for a reason. These V8 motors run VERY hot. I opted for high flow drop in filters and removed the pre charcoal filter. Definitely noticeable more intake noise and turbo/blowoff noises.

First timer

Congrats. Just purchased a 2020 m550i alpine white as well. 7k with all the bells and whistles except for parking assist and handling packages. If I remove the resonators does that effect the certified warranty? Thanks for the help

It won’t effect your warranty. I just got my CPO 2020 3 weeks ago. Once my Remus catback arrives I’m either gonna do one of the piggybacks or just say screw it and go carbahn stage 1. A tune and or Downpipes will for sure void the warranty though. I’m pretty sure they can tell even a piggyback if they look hard enough. The more popular stage 1 tunes seem pretty safe from all the threads I’ve read on this forum

Great thanks. Just started to look at mods for it but want to make sure warranty doesn’t void.

I was looking at those on bimmerplug as well and on the page it says they're OEM housings. It says plug and play so they either open them up and re-wire/pin or they have theyre own harness/adapter. Im eventually gonna do the LCI taillights. When i do do the taillights they will be OEM for sure. Just ordered the REMUS catback so im gonna get that installed first before i do the next upgrade.
