And this is what I did.

Just got this 5 series all black, and had original OEM M series wheels with the hypersilver, I thought that looked a little dated so I powder coated the wheels gloss black. I didnt want to black it out at all because I think it can make the car look cheap and too overdone, however I like the sportier and aggressive look. I know alot of big car enthusiasts would delete the chrome here, but I think at least it gives it a little contrast, thoughts???? Undecided???

Attached: After much deliberation this is what I did!! And No Im not changing the lugnuts for all black, and the wheels don’t look as small in person. I think it looks great.

I would keep it. Blacked out cars are becoming too normal imo. My Audi is black with chrome like that and I plan on keeping it. I thought about black wheels but think I'm going with a more dark bronze look.

It has a classy look. All blacked out is vanilla now.

Looks good, but the wheels look too small IMO.

From the photo it looks like they were put on backwards :-).

I am not a big fan of black wheels but like gun metal gray. I find that to be a nice sporty aggressive look without it being too much. Did that on the wife's buggy. At this though it is moot. Run with them and enjoy.

All blacked out looks good on lowered, aggressive sports and exotic cars AND on lifted, mean trucks. Other than those vehicles, they look cheap and played out IMO. I woulda left the wheels hyper-silver. My $0.02

I think the chrome would have worked if the wheels were also chrome/silver. However because you've already blacked out the wheels, the chrome window trim just looks out of place IMO. I typically like chrome contrast, but it needs something paired with it.

If you black out most of the car but leave one piece of chrome trim, it looks more like an unfinished job as opposed to an intentional attempt at contrast.

I'm never a shiny chrome person regardless of car color, would have rather blacked out chrome and kept wheels for contrast.
I do think the wheels would look better if you changed to black lugs.

Personally would have opted for contrasting wheels (e.g. silver) and chrome delete. But, do what you think is beautiful to you. It's your car and that's what matters.

P.s. for what it's worth, black wheels always come across as small, especially against a big car like that.

I was about to post the same thing. Add some chrome in the wheels and the rim looks too small. Lowering might solve that a bit and delete the front side markers.

Looks nice. Different from the all black that you see a lot of today. I would change the lug nuts to be black as mentioned above.
