Adaptive/Active Bolster

I have been searching but I have not found anything definitive. My E60 M5 had adaptive bolsters that would adjust while driving/turning. I notice my M550i will snug up some when put into Sport mode, but is there a way to code the adaptive/active bolstering? Do the current M5's still do this?

I imagine it does. Since it does it on my 530e even outside of sport mode.

I have the luxury seating package for whatever that is worth.

I too have the luxury seating package in my M550i, but the bolsters do not snug up around tight turns. If I go into sport mode, they will pinch a little, but again not when cornering that I have noticed.

Did you have to code your car for that, or us came standard? My car is a 2018 too..I see you have a 2020...so I wonder if its in the newer cars...

I haven't made any coding adjustments to my car.

You don't notice any change turning your wheel all the way? I notice it even turning in and out of parallel parking spots.

I have a 2018 530e with the luxury seating package. After I start the car and then put on my seat belt the bolsters cinch in on me. I love the way they do that, like they are hugging me.

I understand that it does it when going into sport mode initially. But does it continue to adjust the bolstering while driving? That is what I am trying to figure out. I would like the bolsters to adjust while cornering in any mode, and mine do not. Are you all implying yours actively adjust while going around corners slightly aggressive while in sport mode?

On my 530e with comfort seats the bolsters do not adjust as they did I’m my E Class. In the E, you could adjust the amount and whether they were dynamic. In my 530e they are definitely not dynamic - seems to just narrow in sport rather than tighten and ease in and out of corners. Ironic really as my 530e is a lot more sporty than my E350e !

It is funny they missed on this. I loved it in my E60 M5 which did it on both front seats, but my CLS63 only did it on drivers side. I wonder if the M5 still does it and if those seats and features can be retrofitted.
