Yes, you are correct, NWFs are quite rare in the USA. Love your Scottish Fold.
They are beautiful. I can't remember if you talked about your experience, but my daughter's has one hell of a personality.

She's the queen of the house!

We don't, she stays pretty clean but we have not let her grow out and take her to get groomed about every 3 weeks. We are about to learn how difficult DIY is during this lockdown. I have a grooming kit delivering on Wednesday.

She is the sweetest dog I have ever had. Super gentle and very calm. I know they are not all like that.

LOL. My sister has a goldendoodle. And it is truly a most lovable dog. But the phrase gentle and calm are so NOT fitting for it. A high energy dog that just can't control how happy it is to see you.

That's funny, I have heard this same thing from other owners. We must have just gotten lucky. Ours doesn't chew, jump up on, lick or anything like that. She is 7mo old. She love to play fetch and would rather catch the item mid air than from the ground. Cracks us up.

Nice....love the tape. We do that with our Mini (Axle) as well when we take him on drives.

Since all this started and our Groomer is shut down, I came home from work yesterday to find that my wife had taken a go at it.

It actually turned out pretty good. She started with the easiest one..the Puppy Cut. But she left the bottom half done in the "pants" style of cut.

He looked pretty good for her first time.

Monty and Rut went on a walk this weekend. Was a little worried the little guy would have to be carried, but he did just fine!

Samoyeds are considered 'multi-purpose' dogs, one job being to mind the children.
Behavior wise, they are sort of a cross between a Golden Retriever & a wolf.

We violated Florida’s mandatory stay at home order to drive 4 hours across the state to pick up Ginger. Winston is still not sure what to make of her.

Out of focus (& cross posting), but I still like it. Tobi doesn't like dogs being in his face but Baxter likes licking him. On a side note, I'm pretty sure Baxter hides PCP in his crate. I think I need to start instituting random inspections/turn downs. lol

We purchased the tools, clippers and scissors to attempt to trim our pups. My step daughter did our Pomeranian with scissors and he turned out great. We started on our doodle tonight and so far so good. If things keep going well this may be an expense we will no longer pay.

On a side note wife and daughter are getting pretty good at doing their nails. Yippee

Yeah...my wife did really good. His "skirt" is a little short...but it was a practice run.

We have yet to get his nails. He does not like his paws being touched...so she is slowly breaking in him by grabbing and rubbing his paws each day.

Building that trust.....only to ruin it later!
