Unhappy Clearing Rear Restraint Fault Code

While I was finishing up the install of my H&R springs and spacers, I cut (actually pulled off) the wires going to the passenger rear seat belt tensioner. I repaired the wiring, but the error code won't go away. Any suggestions?

I've never seen any interruption of an SRS (supplemental restraint system) connection/connector that didn't require a dedicated SRS tool or software to clear and reset the system.

If you disconnect or interrupt any air bag or seat belt electrical connector while the car is powered...a simple "plug-it-back-in" won't be the fix. You'll need to use an SRS tool to check, clear, & reset the system so that it is absolutely clear that the issue is fixed/repaired and works correctly. Since the SRS system deals with the safety of life & limb...driveway hacks aren't enough to get around the system. If someone gets injured (severely or fatally)...car maufactureres are on the line for high dollar law suits. So the system is designed to not be easily fooled. If you have a malfunction...it is made known until it is correctly fixed.

I wonder if splicing the cut wire changed the resistance at all, which would cause the system to think that something is wrong and set the code. If it can't be reset, I'd look at replacing that portion of the harness.
