M5 f90 steering wheel and gear change knob on M550i

Well this happened.
Gearbox buttons on knob change gears instead of changing gearbox change times.
Haven’t figured out what m buttons should do.

Do all the buttons on the wheel and shifter work otherwise?

Can you still shift with the shifter by moving it forward and reverse? Any coding necessary?

Sorry for all the questions! Thanks

Seems like a waste of time and money to create a frankencar M5.

Seems to me that if you truly crave the M5 you should get the complete car, not bits and pieces of it.
