I guess it was about 10 years ago that my oldest son wanted to learn how to skate. For his birthday I bought him a complete element deck; he was so stoked. The rest of the family bought him pads, helmet, etc. I was on the board of directors to get a skatepark built in the small town that we live in. Once it was completed, I took the kids to the grande opening and we bumped into an old skate buddy of mine that was there to try out the ramps. Adorning business attire (I had just left work and still had on dress shoes and a tie) he handed me his board so I kicked it around a few minutes. As I was coming back toward him and my kids I busted out a 360 kickflip and my kids thought that was the coolest shit they had ever seen.

About two weeks after the eldest got his board, he wanted me to show him some tricks. I tried to teach him a 180 shove-it (simple enough I thought). Somehow on a trick as simple as this, I ended up on the back of my head and was concuss for the next 3 days. That was the last time I was on a board other than just to cruise around a little.

My newest project is taking my sons old computer parts and creating a new game desktop computer to get back on flight simulators and World War II combat flight games.

Is that where you would earn a 24-hour belt buckle?

I can't think of ANYTHING I want to do for 24 hours straight

I drove many a trip longer than that in one sitting when I was much younger, and was crazy enough to compete in the One Lap of America and essentially drive 8 days straight.....

What do you mean a wooden summerhouse ? Your building a home or restoring?

Woodworking fascinates me.

When I used to ski and snowboard I would be in the top 2% of people on the mountain. Then I injured my back. I haven't been on a mountain in probably 15 years.

When I raced mountain bikes I spent over 300 days a year riding in every condition. Not easy in the northeast. Again, I haven't been riding seriously in 20 years.

I'm a lifelong audiophile and gear head, but I work for a legendary speaker company, so is it still considered a hobby if I get paid doing it? 🤔

Huge golf fanatic. I play around 50 rounds a year. After 10 or so years, I really should be better... I'm only a -12 handicap. 🤷🏻*♂️

Reading has always been a massive passion for me. Mostly reading about current events, but always non-fiction.

Of course customizing vehicles is a hobby. Always... Since I took the hubcaps off my brand new pedal car, or built models as a kid.

The last one I'll mention actually snuck up on me without realizing it. I really enjoy eating out and exploring new restaurants. It probably originated through dating, but I didn't notice this until I noticed how much of my monthly budget I wanted to dedicate to restaurants.

Now: Pretty much just surf the web for anything and everything I can do to my car. Also I just picked up DJ'ing so there's that.

Before: I used to produce music, started when I was a teenager you can find some of my stuff on YouTube on channels like "Majestic Casual". Haven't made anything new in forever.

I also used to be very into photography but like music I've lost touch with it so my camera gear just collects dust.

I enjoy landscaping, playing softball, and going to Yankee Stadium, to watch my Yankees. I'm a sports freak, so any sport will do. I also like listening to " Oldies" music, and read car magazines. I don't participate in any social media outlets. IE: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Who cares what your doing, or eating??? Another thing I do is, disconnect. I put my cell phone away. I spend my off days, just relaxing. We all need to step back, and enjoy the little things in life. Good luck OP.

Other than family and kids I started tracking this past year. I took the 1 Day and 2 Day M School, then I hit the track and really enjoyed it. Now I have autocrosses and HPDE's lined up every few weeks for the next two months.

I was into photography and I guess I still
am, but most of my funds go into track time and consumables.

I also enjoy working in the back yard with my son. Lately I've also been in perpetual spring cleaning mode. Lots of stuff has been accumulating in my garage. What was once a 3 car garage was a 1.5. Now it's a 2 car again and I want to clear out even more for a track car.

I also enjoy sleeping.

I've had a number of hobbies over the years one which was crazy expensive.

So I started off Cycling, but then started driving...
Then I moved onto Karate, became and instructor but then work took me too far out to be able to get to lessons and training.
Then I started with Snooker, playing local leagues
Then I got the opportunity of a lifetime and became a racing driver (gained sponsors, competing at a decent level)
Then I bought an M4
So now, I've taken up figure skating, a bit of a change but I met my not so better half doing it so silver linings and all that. She drives me barmy but I get to do my hobby
