BMW Fault?

Hi guys,

Has anyone has an issue with the Auto Hold feature?

Recently I have experienced the auto hold feature not releasing the hand brake when I go to pull away from a junction or the lights.

It's not immediate but it will happen randomly within the first 5 minutes of a journey. And usually at the 3/4 time the auto hold feature is activated.

I am not someone who stamps on the breaks and it seems to happen a little more if you are soft on the brakes and come to a very gentle stop. its as if one part of the car realises you've stop and applies the brakes and the other part of the car doesn't realise you've stopped because it was so gentle... if that makes sense!

I am counting on someone out there being more knowledgable than myself and tell me I am doing something stupid! Failing that it'll be going back to BMW and I will update you all with the result!

Vehicle is a 2019 BMW 520d G31 in black sapphire with ivory interior.

Cosmetic suggestions and links always welcome...

Thanks all!

Will
