ID7 Instrument Cluster & Navigation Issue Question
Top of the evening everyone,
I have a peculiar situation I need help with. I have a 2022 BMW 540i and I'm having issues with the Live Cockpit and Navigation System. I was on a two-week vacation and when I came back, I had to jump my car. Once I did so, the vehicle in the navigation system still shows my 2022 5 series however now in the instrument cluster, it shows a X5 when I start the car. Any ideas how I can code the car in the cluster back to the 540i?

You’re still under warranty. I’d let BMW reflash all of the software and sort it out.

That's what i'm going to do. There's a brake pad shortage at a few of my local dealers so there's no appointments or no loaner cars. Since I have a 200 mile round trip commute, I'd need a loan car so I was just trying to figure it out now lol

Yes, three dealers said they never seen it before. They were confused as if I drove a Plymouth in there

Yes I did. It just reset all my setting, removed all profiles and weirdly removed my vehicle from the mybmw app

Please update on what happened. There's a brake pad shortage so I have to wait a couple weeks for a loan car

It would be even worse if that was your work commute. Pretty brutal to slog through that all week... |

This has happened to me twice. Once after restarting the car and getting a “no signal” on the center screen. I let it sleep—it was still like that, but eventually recovered while driving, except it showed an X5 (I have an M550).
The other day when I started the car, I noticed it showed the X5 at first and then switched over to the 5. Weird. |
