245/40R20 275/35R20 tire upsize?

Hi all,

I'm using 245/35R20 and 273/30R20 currently. Recently hit a pothole and a front tire blew... I'm just wondering if it's okay to upsize sidewall by 5 to 245/40R20 and 275/35R20. Has anyone tried already and were there any issues?

Thanks

There are several threads on this. I (along with others) am running 245/40/20 and 275/35/20 on my winter setup, no issues, and I really like it.

I put on the 245/40/20 and 275/35/20 tires today. All weather PIRELLI CINTURATO WEATHERACTIVE. Ride quality is a lot better now. No issues with rubbing, don't see any xdrive errors yet - fingers crossed.

Pretty common, I'm running it on my Msport G30 x-drive with Eibach lowering springs and have no rubbing issues. Really helps with some extra sidewall protection and fills in the wheel fenders nicely.
