Yep...every now and then you do get surprised, especially since the airlines like to fly a loaded aircraft. My last trip was 3 legs total, round trip. 2 of those were about 10% and 30% full. The friendly chatty blonde from Huntington Beach in the window seat was curled up across two seats for most of the flight.

This stupid site made me read "GORE-TEX" as "GOAT-TEX"

I am so amazed at how much money is spent on gloves and the industry is still pretty far away from creating an amazing glove. (that and I haven't boughten gloves in like 10 years so my data is a bit skewed. Add the fact that when I shopped for gloves, my budget was quite limited. Therefore, I have no idea what I am talking about.)

They tried to sell me $180 gloves.

Those were $65 and so far as I can tell, well worth it.
