I actually like it. Definitely gives a more aggressive feel in profile with the arches pointing forward and down like that. There is a video in the other thread where the designer of the G01 explains the concept behind it. 100% positive we will see other manufacturers copy this...no doubt about it...

I am a bit disappointed by its very plain appearance, compared to the F25. The latest F25 had a front similar to the bigger X5 with the headlights touching the grill. The G01 now has a front like the smaller X1 ... Also the standard engines 20i and 20d and 30d dit not change anything.

The most positive thing I can find about the G01, is the possibility to buy a real spare tire.
Why oh why, not for the F25?!

The new dash looks real great. But than there are these dull colours... Jesus, is this a car for retired old man ?? At least Mercedes offers the GLC with great paints, like a bright red metallic and a wonderful bright blue metallic.
BMW offers dull black, grey, white and dogshit brown. Only the Phytonic Blau seems interesting.

I have mixed feelings about this G01. Maybe my opinion will change, after a testdrive..

I personally don't think it is remotely plain compared to the F25. It looks like an improvement to me in every way possible, exterior and interior. I don't think the headlights touching the kidneys was ever executed well in the F25. It always looked like an afterthought and never looked as good as on the X5.

I always found the F25 to be lacking in muscularity. The G01 looks more muscular all around to me.

I do agree BMW could make the color palette a little more interesting.
