Hi,

First time poster so be kind ;-) Just looking at purchasing a 2019 G30 (I have the VIN). The dealer says it doesnt have support for CarPlay but everything I read online says that any G30 can be coded to support CarPlay. Can someone help me work out whether the G30 I'm looking at will support CarPlay?

Go to a vin decoder and look for S6CP Preparation Apple CarPlay.

Thanks for the advice. I have the vin but can’t find a decoder site that works. Any suggestions?

Thanks. Tried the decoder site with my full vin and it says car not found. Double checked the vin and it’s correct any ideas?

Stupid question, but are you sure you entered the VIN correctly?

Yep, checked it with the Defined Coding guys re CarPlay and they confirmed it was correct. They also managed to use their own system to check the VIN and apparently I'm able to get an upgrade to ID6 + widescreen carplay as long as I order/connect a wifi cable to the head unit. Happy days :-)
