For those who are NCC BMW CCA members, I want to give you guys a heads up.

We have the following plates available.

BMW 0524

BMW 0530
BMW 0533
BMW 0550

If interested go to

^^ The VA DMV site has lots of specialty plates to choose from, but no BMW CCA plates unless I'm missing it.

Someone has volunteered to get VA tags rolling.

I'd get one if it is tastefully done. IMO, a CCA logo and "BMW Car Club of America" or "BMW CCA Member" on the bottom is better than the logo with "Ultimate Driving Machine."

Ultimate Driving Machine will be a copyright enfringement anyway.
I think it will be the rectanglar logo on the left.
The nice thing about VA is that you can personalize the plate.
In MD they are sequentially numbered.

I noticed that for many other "membership" plates, you have to show DMV a copy of your current membership card (or similar). In other words, it sounds like DMV handles the policing of who can get the plate.

On the NCC site, someone suggested that we would have to have someone certify that a person was an active member to buy the plates, or otherwise we'd just have to make them available to the general public. That does not seem right.

FWIW, my vote would be that you can't get a BMW CCA plate unless you're a member of BMW CCA. As I said, assuming these look nice and not cheesy, you can count me in as one of the required 350.
