Ok....here we go

Dropping off our 2016 535i tomorrow and picking up our ordered 2019 M550....Black Azurite over White/Smoke....we can't wait! (It is the wife's car dammit) The 550 has been sitting at the dealer for a week still fully wrapped up and not touched by anyone at the dealership. Tomorrow is a big day....lots going on, but tonight.....one more final detail of the best 5 series we have had yet since 1999...wish me luck...its hot here in AZ and my garage AC will be working OVERTIME to keep it under 90 degrees

Very nice. Wish we had the 550i here in the UK.

That will look stunning when clean and detailed.

WOW that was a ton of work....

Full Decon, a small amount of paint prep due to some light scratching of the rear bumper, CQuartz Lite (great stuff) followed by Gliss and and a round of Reload. Waiting to check on the test spots on the leather before coating that....the white interior is incredible but is going to be a serious PITA to keep looking good...same with the Piano Black trim....but all worth it

Pretty sure that the ride to Dove Mountain in that 535 is what sold me on getting mine at the time, or maybe it was one before it.... Nice 550i... Kevin here...

6.5 min timelapse video of nearly everything I did last weekend. I had an issue with my foamer (it almost ended up skipping down the street, but I fixed it)

I'm exhausted just watching the video. You must have very accommodating wife, as my wife would be on me to get out of the garage after a few hours.

YES....She is the best female I have ever known and I was lucky enough to marry her 22 years ago.

We drove it to San Diego and then to Newport and back and astonishingly, we got 26.7MPG and I wasn't going slow....Very Impressive car

Glad to see you had a wheely chair so you weren't having to bend over so much, but even with that said, my back hurts from watching that! You need a lift if you plan on doing that more than a few times per year.

Enjoy your car in good health!

LOL....don't feel that way, this is just what happens when you quit playing golf for awhile and get another obsession.....

Enjoy your car in good health! Thank you, and yes....I do plan on getting a lift this year. Since I am in Arizona and it is blazing hot in the garage this time of year I am focused on installing a mini-split AC system....but the lift is certainly next.

Tint goes on next Friday....I have to figure out the best way to protect the doors from the water run off of the tint install process. The leather packaged interior is awesome....there is leather everywhere top to bottom. The one thing I would look into ordering differently is the headliner....feels kinda cheap, not sure if Alcantara was an option and I just missed it....oh well

Awesome! I lol'd at the friend/neighbor visit around 5:37. "Oh hey, heard you got your new car. Looks nice. Well...let you get back to it."

I need to get one of those wheelie chairs...

My wife love that I have this hobby as it results in her car being all shiny, too.

Although sometimes she will come out to go somewhere while I'm in the middle of a detail - her car has gone off half-waxed several times!

Wow, I also feel inadequate looking at that setup. Congrats.

I just took on a Cert PreOwned 17 540i Carbon Black - spent 8 hr with it today.

Wheels take forever, M5 brakes tough to clean with a small pad and toothbrush to hit those M Brakes, sealed wheels after cleaning. See if it helps make cleaning easier

Washed car and then it began to get warm. Moved hood to shade.

Clay the hood - Porter Cable with Polish to get out swirls on hood - and then 5 layers of Zaino. Hood looks glossy.

Polished out swirls on headlights and cleaned and sealed them.

Cleaned leather

I'm old man tired.
