From San Francisco to Los Angeles non stop just over 400 miles without charging.

Tesla has good competition

What? An instrument panel in front of the driver so you don't have to always glance to the right? How bizzare!

All that glass, not for a balding fat guy in sunny climates.

This is really only competition to the Model S, which means at least initially it really isn't much in the way of competition to Tesla.

Now that doesn't mean that they can't develop something that could compete with the Model 3 or Y.

Agree, not to mention the fact that Lucid's website is stating the car won't even begin to go into production until the end of 2020 (and who knows if that will even happen on time).

Tesla still has no real competition, they remain miles ahead of everyone.

I've met with them, brilliant group. At least one lead engineer was from BMW.

Pretty sweet inside and out.

However I'm not a fan how how Tesla (and this Lucid concept) eliminate the sunroof. I'm sure it's done in the interest of range and cost, but that's a deal breaker for me.

I think it looks terrific. The sun roof adds heat gain to the car which would then degrade battery performance by requiring more AC.

Eh, I'll wait till I see a prototype vehicle. I can't put any hype into these startups, especially not with the virus now. I want to root for Rivian of all companies, but it will be some time before they have a product that they are actually selling and can be driven and owned.

Lucid is building its factory in Arizona as I type. It is real.

Oh I know, but I would rather wait till I can actually look and buy one and see if they succeed. Its technically not yet a proven vehicle/brand.
