extra miles on a lease, what do you do
Good morning everyone and hope you guys are safe during the pandemic !!!
My lease expires next February and I will be getting a new bmw in december. (if you know anyone with good deals please let me know, most likely will be getting the new 550) I will probably be 10k miles over my lease, what do I do? pay for miles or roll them into the new lease? I have friends that always leased and they mention they never pay for miles they go over. Thank you |

10k miles is not just a few miles over and the dealer will likely charge for the miles. You may want to talk to the dealer after agreeing on the price of the new car. They may be willing to eat some of the miles since you're getting another car but I would expect some additional cost. You could pre-pay for them before turning your vehicle in. If you have the BMW Credit card, you may be able to use points to pay for some of your miles too.
It's been more than a month for me working from home due to COVID and without kids events, I haven't been putting many miles on my car and will probably not for a few months more given school was just closed for the remainder of the school year and work has mandated an indefinite work from home policy. |
