Car back home after 3 months

Long story, short... my 2018 M550 needed a new wiring harness. Had to be made from scratch in Germany. (Weird electrical issues couldn’t be solved after several components were replaced by the dealer.) Anyway, my new harness juuuuuuuust made it out under the wire before they shut down factories over there due to COVID-19. While she was sidelined, I powder coated my 668Ms and calipers.

Just took her for a quick 10-minute spin. God, I missed this car!

That is one awesome looking ride.
I have an '18 M550 in Med Blue with the carbon Fiber side mirrors and rear deck lid spoiler, as well as those side skirt "MPerformance" decals - looks amazing.

But please please tell me - where did you get the side M emblems located behind the front wheel well? I know those came on the Euro variants but can't find a good set for sale in the U.S. Thanks in advance!

I had them "made" by the good folks at IND. They sourced a chrome set and custom painted them in gloss black for me to match everything else on my car.

Not a fan of the M emblems.....they are small and look "added-on".

I love the rims, though.....those look great.

Glad you got the car back, in time for you to park it, since we can't go anywhere. I assume that it was at Leith?

Finally!! Glad you got your ride back and "endured" the wait and install of the new harness. Love the mod to your wheels. I've decided to do the same to mine, only completely all black. Unfortunately have a wait until the body shop opens up for business again. We have some of the same taste with the rocker decals, CF, etc. I did the total cerium to gloss black conversion also. Your car looks great!

If I may jump in, it's Bluestone Metallic. I agree it's really sharp.

Thanks for the answer. That color with the tinted windows and black accessories (instead of chrome) makes for a fantastic combination.

Hey, OP, can you post more pics of your car? Especially want to see the grill and the trunk, especially if it has the lip spoiler on it.

To each their own, of course, but the side emblems are Euro-spec and come standard on non-US M550s.

No, but I'm strongly considering it. Just want to make sure the shop is reputable and uses a top notch ceramic.

I'm in the same position. My G30 is low mileage and doesn't get driven too much. It's garage kept so not in any rush. I'd like to see one that was done by a good detailer using a good ceramic. It would help me make up my mind.

Vadar, thank you for the pics. That is one of the sharpest cars I've seen. The color with the black furniture and tint looks amazing. I know someone else has already pointed it out, but the only thing I'd take off would be those little Ms on the side. Otherwise, that is one of the very best G30s I've seen
