Makes sense... shame filming it in the States doesn't then? Unless the Golden Gate Bridge is somewhere else

I just got into an F31 before they disappeared. Being from Europe I like this... and coming from an Outback wihich I see everywhere in the Mid Atlantic clearly wagons or crossover wagons do sell....

Scott, is there a middle ground here where we can come get cars in Germany? I'd love a reason to go back to Munich.

I know there are parts costs and support issues, but at least BMW won't be shipping and stocking cars.

Nah, I doubt they will sell 100 of those per year. It's just that MB accepts a loss on this model just to keep the customers happy and loyal. BMW could learn from it.

There are several commercials and media photography performed in the USA not just by BMW but other strictly European manufacturers of models not offered in the US.
The new Opel Grand Sport filmed in LA recently. As well as SanFrancisco, the Touring was also shot in Spain around Barcelona.
But when I went to San Francisco one time I was advised that under the central section of the bridge is the breeding ground for the Great White Shark.

Our customers would rather have the X5 just as Mercedes customers eventually leave with the GLE. It s exactly what is happening between the F31 and current X3. Throw in the 3er GT with its practicality and appearance winning favour and you can see why a more sportier but still a crossover concept the forthcoming X2 will cover the lifestyle bases.

Lots of people jumping off there... maybe the sharks know this!

I hear you. Just a disappointment that some models are dying out here. I was looking at the X1 versus the Sports Wagon... in the end I was tied the handling and gear box that went with the 3. So can we expect a Buick Grand Sport (not that I care!)

Your non loyal customers will prefer a X-car but your loyal customers for the touring will go see elsewhere. Remember that a large % of X-car buyers are just looking for the cheapest lease payment.

http://mein.bmw.de/t7m0m7a0

It is one hell of an expensive car.

It's also a very popular windsurfing and kitesurfing spot, despite the outbound current that takes you to Japan at 7kt if you have an equipment failure...Locals know to watch the tide charts (mostly).

I suppose I'm just not a BMW customer anymore in the family segment...oh, well. There are still small performance sedans to look forward to.

Yes you are right! A jack up version of a car for better ground clearance, with awd that add weight for better off-road capabilities which is then lowered for better handling and on which we add huge brake and huge tires to control the heavy mass is a much better way to go than just make a F81.

Is this coming to North American Region? If so any estimated dates for availability? I am in the process of ordering a 2017 F31 but I would hold off for this since it suits our needs slightly better.
