Speedometer stops 160mph
New owner of 2021 M550i. 19in rims. My dash speedometer stops at 160mph but have seen pics of others with speedometer that goes to 220mph?
Anybody know if it's possible to change the dash via coding or any other options? Thanks in advance. |

Edit: I just realized what you asked. I think you have to code it past 160 with a different dial. |

To change the speedometer scale use the following FDL in DKOMBI4:
AG_MPA_MSP_VIEW

Looking at that image, the speed states 188mph but the “needle” seems to be stuck at 160mph
I assume this cars ecu was coded to take the limiter off in which case is this the maximum speed of a m550?(always had a technical curiosity what it was) |

Now that's interesting - having coded the "200 mph" speedometer myself it never occurred to me that it would still artificially stop at 160. Needless to say, I have no intention of ever testing it in my car or testing my top speed. I'm too old for jail time.
