Anyone have recommendations for lining the side walls of the door map pockets with adhesive felt? Noticed mine are hard plastic and I'd like to get a felt liner on those walls to minimize noise (ie: from sunglasses tucked in the pocket, etc). The door map pockets on the F10 535 were lined with felt/carpet. This isn't for the bottle holder compartment, which makes sense being all plastic.

I loved this about my F10. Now all the rubbish keeps banging along the side while driving. It feels so cheap.

I must admit now you mention it, I thought the E39 had felt lined pockets on both sides, not just one. (Could be imagining it though)

My 530e was built in November of 2017. My door pockets are lined but, for some reason, the little storage locker under the lighting controls is not lined. The latch is not working well on that anyway so next time I have it in the shop I will have them look at it.

A number of others who had cars built around the same time as me had the locker lined. It almost seems random which cars are lined and what pockets/lockers are lined.

I checked and my all door pockets are lined.

is it worth clarifying which sides of the pockets are lined?
My 2017 are lined on the interior surface (the one nearest the driver) and the outer surfaces are plastic so depending upon what you have in there it could rattle to some extent.

My gosh...you are right. I only initially felt the inner side. The outer side is not felt lined. What a cheapout thing on a $73K car!
