What's the deal with the new alu-pedals?

Hi.
I was looking to buy the newer aluminium pedals (picture attached). I called BMW and asked them. The BMW parts guy couldn’t find anything. He knew what I was talking about, but it was as if they didn’t exist.

He called BMW Sweden and Germany with no luck, apart from that the Swede told him, that if I wanted the footrest I would have to buy the whole carpet… but nothing on the pedals.

Does anyone here know what the part number for the pedals are? And does it even fit if it didn’t come out the factory with it?

He is correct. You have to buy the whole carpet if you want the foot rest. I think that’s absurd but it is what it is.

Pedals? The pic you posted is of your driver’s footwell which contains the accelerator pedal, brake pedal, and foot rest (which isnt a pedal, but is now incorporated into the carpet).

You can get the actual pedals (accelerator and brake):

Just go to Ebay and buy one.

https://www.ebay.de/itm/296116902358...6&gad_source=1

Repros are also available but they do not have the embossed M logo.

You’re a life saver, thank you very much!

I just found a picture of a car on sale which had them. Mine are the standard boring black ones.

The thing about the footrest is exactly what BMW told me. It’s stupid.

That’s exactly what I told him and he agreed, that it was stupid.

I have fitted the m performance pedals and foot rest, officially the parts numbers don’t fit as these are for the g80, but I noticed that the ac schnitzer part numbers seems to fit on all G series cars.

But does this “bolt” up to the car?

Stock M-Sport look better, IMO. And they have a lot more rubber to reduce slip.

Important for the driving enthusiasts out there.

Fun times.
