Ha, I know. I put everything in my cart and sat there for a second. I'm going to wait to get my car first! I do want to do the floating center caps, but I also know I'll be upgrading to HRE, or forged wheels at some point.

They are expensive, but the quality is the best at IND. At least I saved $75.

It's the correct size for the g30. There are some others that use the 112mm size. Depends on the vehicle.

Yeah. Exactly, or less than $100 for an OEM set. Honestly, I would rather blow the difference on other crap. I just bought the seat controls which have the "gentleman's option" (allows you to control the passenger seat from the driver's seat.

I have a 7 year old that I sometimes drive to school, and she sits behind the passenger. It's nice to be able to move the seat to give her more room to get in/out without reaching over...
My wife's X5 has it. I'm surprised ours doesn't...

Btw, anyone looked into coding? I'm not talking about Bimmercode, but an actual remote session with someone that can do the no glare high beams... almatetto used to do it, but he seems to have trailed off from what I can see...

I'd love to get NGHB working again. Had it before and it was pretty sweet.

I still have the backup from my old 2018 G30, so I might see what the changes were and give it a try, but figured I'd ask if someone was still doing it that you guys are aware of.

I believe due to supplier issues the 2021 did not get laser headlights in the US, just adaptive LED's.

Also the reason why we didn't get soft close doors

We never had laser lights. I think it's a NHTSA issue... you can still code no glare high beams on the adaptive.

I am upset over the soft close. Literally drove with a 1/2 closed door the other day...

Do you think that's on a model basis? There are definitely laser lights in the US from BMW in general. When I was looking through one of the lots here, I noticed them on multiple X5s. Or at least it says Laser on it and is blue. Looking at the configurator it seems this is part of the Exec package for the X5 — listed as Adaptive LED with Laserlight.

I'm fairly sure laser lights are not approved by the DOT. They are offered, just not for the US market.

I think there are some models with laser light.

So I guess it's just that they don't offer our model with that option. I don't know why... I'm sure I would have paid an additional $1,000 for blue trim in my lights...

Alright.. I saved $75 now too. Couldn't let the weekend go by without ordering apparently. Not sure what the "install-kit" is... I didn't order that. I am guessing it's a piece of plastic to pop the emblems?

Where did you buy that 'option' and what's entailed in installing it?

Definitely interested in adding that to my 2021 that's coming over from Germany right now. Same with the NGHB coding...

I got this since I have the massaging seats. They have one without which is a different part number. Afterwards, you'll have to code the option (it's in the seat module). If you have Bimmercode, you can do it with that.

Any idea how long the turn-around is from Ind? With 6+ weeks left, I'm in no rush, but curious. Do they assemble and paint the parts to order?

I ordered the painted front reflectors and license plate a few weeks back and they shipped really quickly. I think less than 2 days after order. But, I think on the roundels, it will likely be more time. They were out of stock for awhile and just recently started accepting orders again.

Hmm now you guys for me thinking about these too. The front seems like a good one to swap out since it's orange and doesn't match anything else on the car. The rear reflectors i think look fine as they match the tail lights.

Also.. sorry admannj .. I assume you keep getting notified on all these tangent posts that have little to do with your original thread. lol 😂

Completely agree. The front sides paint matched reflectors make the car look SO much better. Hands down the best cosmetic mod you can do. I am also keeping the stock rear reflectors as they are actual usual for night driving and look good with the new taillights.
