Opinion - which m550i trim is best with cognac?
Having a disagreement with the wife. I like grey poplar with cognac, and my wife likes fineline cove matte. I am making a decision tomorrow morning. FYI ext going with aventurine ii metallic. Thanks!

I am a big fan of fineline cove matte. That's what I ordered on my car with Mocha Nappa. It all depends on your cognac intake though. After a a few glasses all these trims may blend in nicely.

Fineline Cove. That’s what I had on my 2018 540–Cove and Cognac. I couldn’t get Cognac on my 2021 M550 with the ventilated seats, and I wanted to try the Nappa leather, but still stuck with Cove!

I'm with your wife on this one. I'd go for the Fineline Cove.

I agree with your wife and the others ... Fineline Cove.

Thanks for the input, all! I did end up going with Fineline Cove; but I also changed my mind and changed the seats to Ivory Nappa! Build submitted today.

I'm waiting for my M550i to enter production (hopefully a week from today according to my SA) and should arrive near Christmas. So, in the meantime, I can't get enough M550i content! |

You just have to require seat cushions like outdoor furniture for anyone to sit in your ride Just kidding, I'm a bit worried about that as well. Wished Cognac was available with Nappa, though after feeling the differences at the dealership, I had to upgrade.

Coming up on a year with my wife's X7 with ivory interior. Happy to report no dye transfer from jeans, etc.

You'll be very happy with nappa leather seats. They are very comfortable. Congrats on your order!

Agreed, my late mother had a silver on black nappa 2015 528xi that was just lovely to be inside. Such nice, soft leather. You won't regret it. Though do be prepared to spend a little time on some leather conditioner on the drivers seat bolster if you want to avoid cracking / lines - the soft leather needs a little bit of care compared to the harder wearing Dakota/Vernasca leathers. |
