Either way I need to go back, the exhaust tips now sit about 3/4" to 1" extended out of diffuser, told them I'd see if they grew on me as well or if I need it to look flush like stock. I'm torn on that portion. Did hear some pops and a nice slight rumble.
Go back and remove the other 2 man. And as far as sticking out, mine probably stick out 1/2 an inch further out anything else will look tacky imo.

I can't tell if this is a good look or not. See pics. And reason I debate removing both is I promised my fiancé I wouldn't mod this car like I did the M5, and feel like she'll call bullshit with the cold start if I take both out. I started it yesterday morning and it was louder than I thought. I don't know if anyone would even notice them poking out a tad like they are. Thoughts ?

It actually looks great.

Removing resonator is a freebie mod tho, so it's not like the entire turbo back was removed and changed.

Removing 2 resonataors I'm sure will significantly make the cold start louder so at that point remove all 4 IMO.

Ha it's funny when you say it like that. Yeah probably the only person who half assed it . I will shoot cold start video in morning. This is the way I was explaining the difference to my brother. I said ( after I explained how and why I removed the flap fuse so flaps are always open in exhaust), it now sounds in comfort/adaptive the way it sounded before with it in sport mode with ASD coming thru speakers. It's a mild but certainly needed natural sound. Everyone thinks I am insane when it comes to me with my cars and the little things I focus on. We all know the car needs spacers for better stance and more sound as the most basic requirement

It sounds exactly as i expected, about 1/2 of the sound you get with all resonators removed. But, it does sound a lot better than stock.

I had my wife drive my car round the other day and I drove her car, and had her do a few downshifts, etc, it's definitely loud from outside, especially the cracks and pops, you hear them loud and clear haha.

A guy at my office noticed the pops as I downshifted coming into parking lot. I'm in debate mode with myself to leave it or do the other one.

So I may go back, remove the front resonator too and put the fuse back in for the flaps to control the loudness until I hit sport mode for the in your face rumble when I want it

Do it!

It can be easily reversed if it is too much.

I gave in and went back to shop and removed the other resonator too. Wtf it's laugh out loud funny how deleting the 2nd resonator makes the car ridiculously deep throaty and I would say 2-3 times as loud as it was stock.
I put the fuse back in for pipe flaps and I'm still shocked how if you get in it mid range how loud it is.
I emailed Evolve to see if they think we should modify their tune for them being removed. I'll get some vids tomorrow.

It opens the valve under acceleration

Go into engine sound settings I believe you can set comfort to quiet

But leave sport open

Can’t wait to hear difference

Wohoo!!! And yes I agree it's so deep and throaty lol. Whoever that hears it is like it sounds like a hot rod v8 haha. No fake burble here lol.

You should have someone drive it and as your standing behind the car as it drives off you really hear the turbos. Can't imagine with downpipes removed.

You must have a 2020? Mines a 2019 so I can't go in menu and fool around with sounds or flaps aside from coding ASD off which I have off, and coding flaps always open or closed( not sure they stay open all the time even when coding), so I normally pull the fuse and have left them open. You have any dragy times with your car? Few of us are curious on how the upper power stock is!

Yeah really crazy how deep and throaty it is. It reminds me how thunder sounding the AMG's are, a sound I always wanted. Lots of pops on downshifts kinda crazy. I feel a tad like a kid with the car being so loud but I think it's great at the same time. I couldn't imagine how down pipes would be in person. I want someone to drive so I can hear but I keep my tunes and mods kinda secret from wifey. I think she turns a blind eye or has on this and my last M5
