Fitment looks and feels perfect.
Wow this is exactly the look I'm going for. So clean. which lip/skirts did you purchase?

No issues at all, I had stuttering issues recently but that was due to misfires. Has been remedied after swapping for 1 step colder plugs.

Ah ok. I’m Stage 2+ and was advised against going one step colder. So I returned them and installed stock plugs, HPFP, and downpipe and flashed Stage 2+. Now two weeks later I’m getting the misfiring. The wheels is just a coincidence. Thanks bro!!

Wow that’s crazy, you went stage 2, and we’re advised against colder plugs??? By whom? That’s insane…

That’s probably why you have the stutters, it’s actually misfires. I would swap plugs ASAP before consecutive misfires happen, shutting down one of your cylinders. Happened to me, and that’s only on Stage 1.

That’s interesting, I was always told for every extra 100hp you go one step colder, to counter the extra temps.

That’s what I thought. What plug part number did you use? The dude from BimmerNetwork sent me this.

Never heard about that honestly, what I’ve always heard is if you tune and push more heat and pressure you need a colder spark to counter.

Those were the plugs I originally bought and was advised to return them. Gonna try to find them now.

Update: Turns out the tires and the spark plug gap of 0.022” were the issue. The timing of the two different issues popping up at the same time was impeccable. The misfire was causing power loss under hard acceleration at all speeds, intermittently rough idle, and nearly stalling in traffic a couple times. Changing the plugin gap back to 0.030” solved this. Brand new OEM plugs.

The car did not like the size combo with the tires I’m running. The tire size hesitation was felt only under normal acceleration from a stop and when coming to a stop. After fixing the gap, the car still had good power, just the jerky take offs. Changing the front tires to 245/35 solved this issue.

Great info here. Anyone have suggestions for wheel color on a skyscraper grey with XPEL stealth M550i? Thinking I’ll get a pair of 20” with summer tires and use my 19” AS run flat OEMs (in black) as a winter set.

I am sure in the gram scheme of things it doesn't matter but you and OP are running 1.1% difference in the rolling rotation.

Did you not want to go with a 295-30 in the back or possibly stay with 245-35 front?

It just looks like you have a slight stretch in the back and the front looks pretty squared. So, if you would stay with a 245-35 front I think you would have a matching stretch of the rear.

PS I am not hating at all your build, it's super clean which I am hoping to repeat with a black 540 myself.
Out of curiousity, where did this chart come from? 20” Oem on the back is 275-30/20, right? I don’t even see that on this chart.

Gotcha. Wasn’t able to really even match up oem wheels on this chart so it was a bit misleading to me.

The chart is basically this calculator.
https://tiresize.com/calculator/

And 255/35/20 isn't an OE front tire size anyway. The main thing from I was trying to point out is to try and achieve under 1% difference in rolling diameter.

But I did also just checked the OE 20' size and the 245/35/20-275/30/20 is also a -1.1% different in diameter so I guess in the grand scheme of things if BMW runs that then its fine. When I researched this xdrive staggered before I would always find the rule of under 1% of rolling diameter difference.

Appreciate your thoughts. Given OEM is -1.1% I guess there is just a bit of leeway with it.

I think there definitely is. I haven’t had any issues since mounting. If anything I’m 1.1% faster now, you know.. because..

Would anyone consider selling their ff10s? Have a g30 and was looking for new wheels. Black or liquid metal are fine with me. Thanks!

Posting here because the OP helped me decide on my fitment. Same HRE fitment except with FF11s. Michelin PS4S Rubber is 255/35/20 Front, 295/30/20 Rear. 2020 M550i w/ dynamic suspension. I would say the front is flush and the rear has a little poke. Went with 295 for 0% rotating difference. Rear tire looks a little stretched on 10.5 rear. I actually made the mistake of going with the PS4S, when originally I was looking for the same fitment as OP then realized he had all seasons. Once I saw the rear stretch, I was pissed...until it was mounted. After seeing the 295 rear PS4S mounted, decided to go with Dinan springs to complete the look... And I will update after. Picture is before Dinan.

Just getting started...
