18/19' m550i power on jb4 93 octane?

Does anyone know what kind of power the m550i has on jb4 with 93 octane pump gas? Is it close to 600hp crank like dinan?

I had the Dinan on my 19 m550. It added a solid 45-60hp over stock. My car was not making 600hp like Dinan says period. I have a stage one Evolve tune and still don't have 600hp. Those are funny numbers in my opinion that Dinan uses. I think either piggy back you'll be happy with, but with Dinan they match your warranty. I've had burger units on past BMWs and always liked their products and service.
Both will be close, but I think Dinan would be a little safer for you.

I think your paying for warranty match. It's worth it. I did a lot of research and it's why I went with them, and the fact when you say Dinan you know they were part of bmw.

honestly the issue with these numbers, along with all other new gen m5/e63 numbers are how much drivetrain loss they claim the cars have. At 25% drivetrain loss which is what they tuners use, a 450awhp M550i with dinan tune does theoretically have 600 hp at the crank, but we all know the drivetrain loss is much less than 25%. Or even the stock m5/e63 dynos claiming they come with 700 hp stock at the crank due to the 25% drivetrain loss.

These cars aren't underrated, they just don't have the drivetrain loss that cars used to have.

Very true, how cool would it be if someone pulled engine, did engine dyno and regular dyno! 25% is from like 15 yrs ago I think, wonder if it's really down to 15%

What about racechip? I hear they offer a warranty too and that they made the piggy back ecu tunes for dinan.

With RC I believe they only cover up to $7500. I could be wrong but read the fine print. RC has good results, they all do, they all will give you a solid 45-50hp, Dinan is more $ but I've read threads where Dinan paid the expense for a blown engine. I'm going off memory but I'd go Dinan if warranty is important

Yea RC only covers up to $7,500. While better than nothing, if you blow a motor $7,500 is really just a drop in the bucket. Power wise they are almost identical to each other.

I have not seen any dynos with JB4, but it will make more power than Dinan.
Dinan tunes are very conservative.

trap speed wise, the JB4 does about 2-3 mph more than the Dinan from what i've seen on an M550i.

11.3@121 for JB4

11.7@ 119 for BMS Stage 1

11.7 @ 119 for Dinan

Not sure how accurate these are but makes sense as M550i with a real flash tune plus downpipes can run high 10s/low 11s at around 125/126. I think this puts just a good ol flash tune to around the 11.3 mark at around a 123 trap.

The 10.82 is a E85 tune just to clarify.
