Nice. Have you noticed an increase in shine and ease of cleaning after ceramic coating?

I've been curious about that too. The shine is obviously important, but I'm equally excited about the paint correction aspect and the easier cleaning.

I wash my car every week, weather permitting. I'd love for the average maintenance wash to be done with a simple rinse, foam, rinse, and blow dry with my leaf blower. Touchless and quick maintenance wash is my goal.

I did the leaf blower drying method last weekend for the first time after washing it. It actually turned out great, no spots or drips. It should be even better/faster after ceramic.

Sport Plus takes some skill, but it is definitely not for driving around town in traffic. It is jumpy and acceleration is designed for a continuous throttle of sorts. So accelerating and decelerating in short spurts is not for Sport Plus. because of how the transmission is programmed in Sport Plus. You should configure a Sport Individual entry and turn down the transmission to Sport only. May want to soften the suspension too. Then you have a spirited mode that you can drive around congested areas with rough roads.
I did the same in individual…maxed everything except the trans.

I'm about to pull the trigger on an EGO 765. My leaf blower now is half that. It's pretty comical when the landscapers are blowing off my property and I'm in the garage blowing my car dry!

Haha yeah I know it just look ridiculous. But it worked and I didn't touch the car! I've got a plug in electric that's good enough for now. After the ceramic is done and I can really evaluate the difference it makes, I will reevaluate if a shorter tube/cordless blower is worth the investment. I have a backpack blower for real yard work, so the expense would strictly be for the car/garage.

I applied some of Joe's favorite product today. Gtechniq - C2 Liquid Crystal C2v3. This stuff is so easy to apply...still always takes me an hour, but I put it on the glass, wheels...everything gets a coat. We'll see how long it lasts. I think it looks good.

Nice! I did a coat this weekend too on everything. Just love the wet shine this stuff produces.

How do you apply it? I spray it on a cloth, wipe it on, then wipe it off with a clean cloth. I dont spray it directly on the car.

.
Correct, never spray directly on the car. I use only high quality korean micro fiber cloths. I use one for applying and the other for wiping off. For applying, I spray a few pumps on the cloth and then apply in swirls. I generally do it panel by panel. So apply to fender and wipe off, then the front door, then back door, etc. I'll spray a few pumps on the cloth for the first 3-4 panels and then the application cloth is pretty soaked, so I don't need to spray it again too often. I'll start with half the hood and work my way around the car until I get to the other half. Front bumper is last.

Don't forget your door jams. I also pop the hood and do the underside of it every so often. When I am done, both cloths go in the car cloth hamper. I've got so many MF cloths, but when I build up a dirty ones, I wash them with a product called "Rags to Riches" in the washer and let the towels air dry.

Oh, make sure you shake the C2V3 bottle before using and while using.

Door jams are todays mission. I like to do them the next day as there's always water there after a wash…I never can get them totally dry. I may hit the rockers and front bumper again….all the lower hard to get areas (when you're over 50). Those bottom areas are always a mess…and I'm not as thorough in those places…because of me aching back!

You need one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Adams-Detaili...ps%2C67&sr=8-5

It's definitely a backbreaker for us over 50 guys without it.

One of the reasons I hit the car so much with it is that I do kind of fly through it. I can coat the whole car in 20 minutes but I know I must miss at that pace, so I will usually hit it again a week later.

You're like the gadget man. I'll consult with you for all my home product needs prior to purchasing anything.

Here is my current detailing creeper. No place to store my detailing products. And it requires me to actually get up to move it. Those days are over.
