Exclamation G30 LCI Vibrations

Hi all,

I'm the proud owner of a BMW 545e xDrive M-sport.

However, I have experienced that the car vibrates quite noticeably, just about at every speed. I have read some posts in regards to this, and it has been described well by some other users - the vibration can be felt through the seat and steering wheel. An alignment correction has not helped, hence why I will be taking the car in once again.

I have the adaptive suspension, although I'm not sure if this has something to do with the problem.

Has anyone had the same problem and have any solutions been found?

Thanks in advance.

I’m not a mechanic but a couple of things that could be easily checked

Has a balance weight come off one of the wheels so it is now out of balance?

Have you hit a pothole causing one of the tyres to be damaged (bulge ) that might cause it to be out of balance aswell

Those are my suggestions

I have had the dealer balancing the wheels as well, which also has not helped.

You may be right about the tyres. Although, I'm not sure if this is the problem, as the condition of the tyres seem to be fine.

I had the same issue and dealer said it was some cracks in the rubber flex disk (common issue).

I didn't quite believe them as it felt much more like a wheel/suspension issue - but they replaced it under warranty and it actually fixed all my issues!

The cracks didn't even look too bad from the video they sent, so I was quite surprised.

Definitely the rear drive shaft flex disc, this is a 19 540 rwd with 52k miles… unreal, havent experienced this or seen it with xDrive models.

The front tension struts were also shot beyond belief, something I expected to be common for 100k miles….

End of the day…. I’ll take all these comical issues any day over what previous BMWs and their owners suffer from.

Makes sense, as the rear drive shaft flex disc has been the common reason to this problem, according to my research. I'll definitely look into it and notify them about it. Thanks a lot.
