After contacting PTF support they have been very helpful in resolving this issue.
Had a coding session with Serge last Friday - fixed it permanently by storing the proper version with my profile (if I understood correctly, and did not have issues while flashing other maps, so that worked &#128077

Also I found a small issue regarding not having any burbles. They resolved that today by letting me reflash the same map (it had a different ID, so I suppose a different revision).
