So I've been looking to upgrade my wife's C300 Sport to a larger sedan to accommodate our coming baby girl. We already have a Tesla Model Y Performance which will be the main baby hauler but just in case we need something a bit bigger.

Came across a CPO 2018 540i Graphite Black w/Blue interior. Has 36K miles on it with M-Sport, HK Sound, Premium Pkg, front lip spoiler, rear decklid spoiler, etc.

Carfax is clean except for minor accident (reported back-up into pole and was repainted)

Dealer is asking 43K. What do you all think?

I would have a hard time thinking of a worse color combo. Graphite black over blue Dakota leather would not be my thing. It probably has the base sport seats. Be sure you spend some time in them and are ok for you. Almost all prefer the multi-contour seats.

I just bought a CPO 2018. I paid about that price but with 6k fewer miles and zero accidents/clean carfax. Premium package, luxury line, HK sound, Park assist and all the other driving assist features. However it is not an M Sport.

Depending on where you are, you might be able to do a little better, given the accident on the carfax (talk them down on that one or pay same price for a different one without accident history).

My biggest advice to people looking for a car, new or used, is don't be afraid to use the internet and phone to shop regionally. Bought 3 cars in the last 6 years from out of state dealers, new and used. Definitely got a little better deal that way.

Also - I have a young kid and the seat fits great in the 540. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice. I'll definitely be talking them down especially given I have the trade-in too

Here you go plus a bonus of the car from the outside. I did tell them I want those corny decal/stickers removed as well as any swirls from the hood removed. Seems to be exponentially visible in this photo but they assured it was the lighting...

That's a very unique color set... I think the rubber clashes with the seat color a lot too.

It looks nice. Price is on the high side I'd say.
Specially with the report.
I personally stay away from anything with a carfax report at any market. Right now they charge a premium on anything.
Not sure if it has the comfort seats or not. To me that's a must and I would take Nappa leather over dakota.

Is it Carbon Black or Dark Graphite Metallic? Your original post said graphite black, which may be a color that I've just never come across.

If it matters, mine is Dark Graphite Metallic. It's an awesome color but it's hard to keep looking clean. I will say, the only time I've ever noticed swirls has been wearing polarized glasses when the sun is hitting it a particular way.

Thanks for sharing. I love unique and individual interiors. In terms of the swirls, they are most likely all of over the car. This car has been through many automatic car washes. The good news is they can be removed. The car needs a paint correction and you may as well ceramic it after that's done because a paint correction is part of the ceramic process.
