No sir. Sits in garage under a cover. Wife's car in the other spot. Leaves my 540 outside.
Previous years I would store it for a couple hundred a month. Starting to think I will do so next winter.

Right now the weekend car when it's not winter is the M550. The E39 is my daily. The plan for the spring is a 911. Definitely at least a C4S but hoping to find a turbo. I miss the handling of a small agile car. I still don't see myself making the M550 my daily, so it's going to be a tough choice on the weekends.

I'm not getting any younger and I've always wanted a P car.

For the previously mentioned Z3, my father has a storage unit for winter months. When it's not in storage, his 428 stays outside and the roadster goes in the garage.

It's those months sitting in a storage garage that do the most damage (hence the previously mentioned airing of tires and charging of battery). Cars and other equipment aren't made to sit unused for weeks/months on end.

I dont think winter storage is a big deal, just use a battery tender, car cover and check the tires in the spring. It actually adda lot of life to the car by keeping miles down. If you dont have a garage find one , outside is tough for four months.

That's my plan!! I want three pedals like your vette, 911's are hard to come by with three pedals these days. 718 is easy to find a manual, but I've wanted a 911 since I was 16.

Mine too. The planets aligned and I was able to pick it up very reasonably a few years ago....before the prices went crazy.

They did the Gen 5's right...nothing like the previous generations. The last hand built analog supercar. Naturally aspirated V10 aluminum block, body is 48% carbon fiber, engine is set back 6" from the front axle line, 17" center gravity, 50/50 weight distribution, 3300 lb curb weight, 645 hp & 600 lb/ft torque...and believe it or not, shorter than the Porsche 911. It's a raw animal...tons of feedback to the driver.

Awesome machine ! I remember watching a Jay Leno episode where he said it might be his favorite car. He bought 2 of them!

Thank you. My only regret is not buying an ACR Extreme. There was one for sale locally with only 2k miles for $117k 3 years ago. Now, probably at least $225k - $250k...who would have thought a virus would come and turn the world upside down. The used car market is nuts.

That said, I really appreciate my M550i....you get the best of all worlds. Luxury and speed...It's kind of a mind twister for me...speed historically hasn't been this comfortable....and no sore back after a long drive.

My weekend ride. The wheel pants are back on now, this was partly a post-maintenance test flight.
