Previous years I would store it for a couple hundred a month. Starting to think I will do so next winter. |

Right now the weekend car when it's not winter is the M550. The E39 is my daily. The plan for the spring is a 911. Definitely at least a C4S but hoping to find a turbo. I miss the handling of a small agile car. I still don't see myself making the M550 my daily, so it's going to be a tough choice on the weekends.
I'm not getting any younger and I've always wanted a P car.

It's those months sitting in a storage garage that do the most damage (hence the previously mentioned airing of tires and charging of battery). Cars and other equipment aren't made to sit unused for weeks/months on end.

Mine too. The planets aligned and I was able to pick it up very reasonably a few years ago....before the prices went crazy.
They did the Gen 5's right...nothing like the previous generations. The last hand built analog supercar. Naturally aspirated V10 aluminum block, body is 48% carbon fiber, engine is set back 6" from the front axle line, 17" center gravity, 50/50 weight distribution, 3300 lb curb weight, 645 hp & 600 lb/ft torque...and believe it or not, shorter than the Porsche 911. It's a raw animal...tons of feedback to the driver. |

That said, I really appreciate my M550i....you get the best of all worlds. Luxury and speed...It's kind of a mind twister for me...speed historically hasn't been this comfortable....and no sore back after a long drive. |

My weekend ride. The wheel pants are back on now, this was partly a post-maintenance test flight.
