Here in Europe the e91 335i has been around since the e91 was launched. Those are just pics of the upcoming facelift that both the e90 and e91 will get.

I don't recall CAR having one, but Evo just did their long-term wrap-up of a 335i Touring. Pretty funny, the writer was hoping to hang onto it a bit longer, as BMW had never called asking for it back (it had apparently been logged in their records as returned). A BMW exec visiting their offices noticed the car in the lot and said "Hey, shouldn't we have gotten that car back by now?"

Most Americans are terrified of being seen in a "station wagon" so there won't be much market for it here. A X3 with the 335i engine might go over well, though.

I put the odds at it coming to the US at around 2%. Too bad, too, because I'd strongly consider one.

Wagons have never been favored in the states, but if this happens, I look forward to it's arrival.

It would so be my next car if available by then. I don't like the X3's at all, so if no e91 335i/d then the X3 better get a total redesign soon.

I also don't get why BMW doesn't follow Audi and Merc on their wagon strategies. Both Audi and Merc offer the S4 Avant and AMG wagons but both are also strictly special order only and prolly lock you in to the deal in some way that it would hurt to back out. Whats the harm in allowing them only as an order? Dealers won't have to stock them and the people that want them can still get them, everyones happy.

This has the same problem as the "Individual" program - it's illegal in most, if not all, states to "lock in" someone that's ordered a car. They can always back out, leaving the dealer stuck with a hard-to-sell special order. That's why BMWNA simply dropped the program here, though they've been softening their stance somewhat lately.

I wish it would come to the US, the wagon is the heaviest body style 3 series, we shouldnt be stuck with the smaller engine. Never made sense to me, if they were only going to offer 1 wagon version as their "Sport Wagon" you think they would give us the bigger engine...

Unfortunately E91 335iT is NOT coming...and won't. BMW wants to make buyers go upmarket to the 535xiT.

The main reason I went with BMW instead of Infiniti was the availability of a wagon (the EX35 is a joke when it comes to space for bike and camping equipment).

Wow. Didn't even notice.

An E91 335d would be nice though. I'd dig an E91 335i as well.

Damn. Something weird just happened. I had two threads open in 2 firefox tabs. I posted to one topic, but it posted the other thread, the one in the other broswer window. I think this has happened before.

Considering the success of premium wagons as of late (A4, 3-series, C-class) and stuff that's on the horizon (CTS), BMW *has* to be reconsidering the wisdom of the lone 328i wagon. A 335i would do wonders for the brand and would get the downdraft of people coming out of SUVs.
