Build Week 25 (or thereabouts)

Is anyone else here slated for a week 25 build, or an adjacent week? I'd love to compare notes on status, etc.

My order for an M550i was placed during the first week of March for an existing allocation, so I was lucky enough to get scheduled for week 25. A little over a week ago I rolled over to "waiting for production" status. I'm curious when the VIN usually shows up.

If I remember correctly, my VIN showed up once the status changed into "150 - Production begins".

Thanks, I've seen folks say the same in delivery threads for other models. Does your status usually change to 150 after the beginning of your build week? IE, week 25 starts June 19th, should I expect to see it sometime before, after, or right around that week?

I realize I'm probably assuming a level of specificity and predictability that likely doesn't exist in the production process at this point, but I'm just curious.

Well, I've flipped over to status 150 as of this morning, and have a VIN. Looking at the developer's tools on the BMW USA tracking site, it has my production date as 6/23. Hopefully none of that will backslide!

As your news was promising, I just checked - and yes, now status 150, with a 10 digit VIN, which cannot be correct, so will try again later. - Edit, has to be given by dealer, not over live chat, which is fair enough.

So, perhaps my wait is finally coming to an end.

Week 26 here. Been pushed back multiple times. Went status 112 (again) late last week but have not flipped to 150 yet.

Where do you see the prod date or do you have to call in for that?

I got mine by using the developer tools in the Chrome window, when on the tracking page.

In case you haven't done this before, click on the "view" menu in Chrome, then "Developer" then "Developer Tools". That will open another pane.

Select on the left side pane the session storage/mygarage option. Then on the right side select production details in the top pane, then in the bottom pane select datacontent/prodvehicledetails/0 then page down and you will see the production date towards the bottom.

Ahh, okay - in the menu at the top of that screen, click the right arrows to expand, and then click "application". That should get you where you need to go!

What was your actual build date? Mine is for late in the week. I'm hoping I'll at least see an update tomorrow morning on the site with something other than "production begins".

It seems like the port is a shit show. Not much action in the G30 forum, but if you look at the M3/M4 forum they have a "status 193" thread with seemingly dozens of members who have been waiting at the port for an ungodly amount of time, some over 2 months, still waiting on a boat. While some people get on a boat within a few days. Hopefully we're the lucky ones. Though you're in the UK, so perhaps that is faster?

Long story short - original date on order in Novemebr was April. that changed to May.
then definite build week 19. Week 17 (end of) told no B&W - take it or leave it? Week 18 accepted the deletion (don't go there!) oh, we also put you back to week 25 as well.
Week 20, car dissapered off the planet, went 105 for a good while, then came back as 112 - no date.
Finally I got 150 10 days ago, told it had a VIN and was due for build 'week 25' (but can still change)
Delivery to the UK depends again on 2 ships which rotate about the EU, each leaves when full.
I'm away on holiday now when it should finally arrive, so, fingers crossed, 19th July is when I finally see it.
I will actually believe it when im sat in it being honest.
I have found the overall attitude of BMW to be somewhat less than it needs to be, being honest.

That's a rough road. I'd be pretty damned frustrated myself if I had to go through that. I hope the drama is behind you and it gets delivered as you hope.
