I purchased it for our F10 & G30. They can deal with the used oil and the mess whilst I play a couple of games on my phone, or chew the fat with my SA, if he's not busy. I drive very little since I was fired/retired; retiring saved me about 300 miles a week. Now it's just church, practice, Thursday morning breakfast with the boys, Costco & grocery store runs. Unless I take my wife to the mall (about 30 miles each way), I don't travel much more than 5 miles from home.

Now that I look at it, I've only put under 6K in 3+years! So I'm hoping to get 3 or maybe even 4 oil changes in a 6-8K window over 3 years. Great value to me! I purchased mine on: 10/27/22 Oil Change #1 mileage 43,404 10/18/23 Oil Change #2 mileage 44,454 Future changes: 10/27/24 Oil Change #3 10/18/25 - #4??? hoping they'll allow this one (right at the very end of the 3 years)

I had it but would do oil changes every 5k miles. Would tell them not to reset the light when I did my OOP oil change. So every other oil change was covered by the plan. I paid something like $199 for the service and they usually ran a promo for $99 oil changes for 6cyl. They let me choose what weight to put in from what is BMW approved- usually went with 0w-30 LL01.

I let my oil change alert (from CBS) go for 2 months. Then I got a postcard from my selling dealer that my car was calling for service and included a coupon good for an oil and filter change for $79. THEN, I went in for it. Not enough miles, yet, for the deal that's being discussed here.
I only drive about 2K miles/year and only about 200 of that is on the ICE, so I'm not particularly concerned about even an annual change. Recent info is that it's miles and not time that degrades synthetic oils. I'm careful to run my engine for long enough to get up to temp and flash off any water on those times when I am taking a highway trip whose range exceeds the PHEV range. My problem is emptying a 10 gal tank in a year to keep the fuel "fresh", so I do a 5 gal fill about every 9 months. |

Again, if you change your oil based on mileage…like every 5000 miles…then do the CBS reset when you do your oil change at 10k miles. This way you don’t screw up the service interval warnings or have to deal with a service reset warning for 6 months. There’s no need to do a service reset if you change your oil earlier than the programmed interval. Just go ahead and change your oil at the 5k. 10k, 15k, 20k, 25k, 30k intervals (etc)…but only do the service reset procedure at the 10k, 20k, 30k oil changes when the warning appears.

My service advisor was pushing this on me this morning. She never pushes anything on me. The kickback incentives must be sweet. They won't do 5W-40 though, so it's a non starter. Then there is the whole 10,000 mile thing or when the car tells you, I do them at 5,000 miles.

If you do dealership oil changes or are a high mileage driver the plan is a no brainer. Even if you do them at 5K miles it is a no brainer if you’re doing those changes at the dealership as it should result in a lower cost for the covered changes (obviously, you wouldn’t reset the OCI as noted previously in the thread). For some reason, BMW charges more for oil changes on my PHEV than they do for the M550i so it is also a lot more attractive for people like me $129 on the M550i (value service pricing) $179 on the 530e (value service pricing) That said, I can’t buy it until my Ultimate Care+ expires in 2026. It’s a good deal. BMW gives you this so they can tell everything else they think is wrong with your car.
I listed to “all” things wrong then either do wirk myself or get a 2nd opinion from my local indy guy. I figured it ou, I will get 2 maybe 3 oil changes for free |

Purchased this for our X7 once it passed 60k miles. It has more than paid for itself. The X7 now has 91,xxx miles and we are on oil change number 4, have the oil changed around every 8k miles.

Got the deal and have used it already. The dealer found nothing else to do on the car. So in and out in about 2 hours (about the shortest time you can spend at a dealer service center in my neck of the woods).
