I thought I saw something pop up right when I was getting out of the car a couple hours ago. Thought maybe I was seeing some other odd message. I too am curious what all those vague words actually mean

This is an iDrive 7 feature, so LCI only. Your dealer can probably update your car through ISTA though.

I applied it to my U.K. m550 the other week
Haven’t detected any functional changes yet

It is a SP18 feature. Not an iDrive 7 feature. MY2020 cars have iDrive 7 on SP15A and lack RSU support.

Seems pedantic, but these threads come up in searches and will lead to confusion among newer owners getting used cars who will be confused as a result.
