My Key fob falls out while driving

Sept 2005 E90 330 Saloon without CA, with SatNav Pro.

I have two keyfobs which appear identical, even with dimensions checked with a calliper.

One keyfob locks in place and cannot be pulled out, at least not by moderate force. The second keyfob does not lock in place, and falls out regularly.

The dealer does not have a clue, saying it must be "worn", but there is absolutely NO resistance to removal, or for that matter, to insertion. The locking mechanism is not being triggered - they say it is purely mechanical, but I cannot believe this - there must be some electronic detection going on.

Can anyone help with this ?

Who moved this into the General BMW section?

The OP has an E90.
