Wanting to make a run to either ToD or 421 Snake in NC/TN. I’m out of Charlotte and would love to have a small convoy to roll with. I’m in g30 540i-all cars welcome. Anyone interesting in a day trip late July/August 23?

Lee, I’m in Northern Alabama, and would love to join up to drive the Tail! I’ve also got a G30 540i, and she’s ready to roll. I have done the Dragon on a motorcycle, and didnt leave any parts in the tree! When do you think you would like to go? I’m heading on a work trip on Sunday the 13th of August, but could possibly make it before that—

I will reach out to the Heart of Dixie chapter of the BMW CCA and see if anyone wants to join….. it’s also nice to go in Sep when the leaves start to change …..

Viper31 & Driftime85-thank you both for your interest! Snake and ToD are both less than 3 hours from CLT so I have some flexibility on dates. That said, was thinking the weekend of 8/4. Can go earlier or later if need be. May have a friend join in his e93 M3 as well.

ToD may be closer to you two rather than snake. -lmk what you think.


Viper-had a business trip to Huntsville back in January that I elected to drive instead of fly. Hell of a roll through the foothills on the way home. Crossed the Tennesse river a few times-beautiful country down there in Northern Bama.

I just want to recommend going on a Sunday. In the morning most locals are at church… the road is WAY less busier than any other time.

Cool, Lee…. I actually live on a wide spot in the Tennessee River called Lake Guntersville! Northern Alabama has some pretty parts for sure…..and a great, low cost of living too!

I have my kids the weekend of the 4th of Aug, but I could do the weekend before if the group wanted to….. otherwise I can’t make it till mid Sept— the leaves will be amazing in Sept or Oct

Man, I’d love to move to N Alabama. I’m partner in a business, so can’t really up and move. But Birmingham and north are my first pick if it goes down hill enough around here to make a change. I’m in Memphis. Sort of a crossroads around here, but it’s not just us.

Wish I could make the trip with you guys. Hope you’ll post some pictures and a review after.
