Exterior Window Trim Removal
I've had a look on newtis.info but I can't find any instructions as to how to remove the exterior window trim on my G31. This is to wrap it and change it from brushed aluminium to high gloss. Just wanting to make sure it's a really neat job.
Any tips or instructions very much appreciated. Last edited by bickers1972; 11-22-2018 at 02:16 PM.. |

I've done this, they are just on clips. pull from the glass edge form the top in an upwards motion. there is a locating lug on the passengers side which make s re-attachment a bit fiddly. Photos to follow

I wanted to continue the line of the roof racks in black as it seemed clumsily stopped and made the A pillar look thick. By wrapping in gloss black (3M 1080) it also makes the glass look larger and evens up the black border to the glass - Happy with the result and took about an hour to do.

After - Happy with the results. I think it should be standard with black roof rails, dunno how it would look with chrome wrap to match chrome roof rails.

Nicely done and thanks for coming back to me. I think you've done a great job
I'm looking at removing the exterior trim around the front and rear doors + the D pillar which I think might be a bit of pain to be honest. |

Appreciate the effort but prefer the stock look here.
