I might go with Lazer auto (I find bmw 17`offer too expensive and style158 aren t that nice)....what do you guys think about this offer?
Are the ASA good mags?
Do this package feet to the 330i as well?
Who did you talk to ? Dan is THE guy ! If you never dealt with them, just tell him Benoit Champagne referred you (you never know). Personnally, my option was the Dunlops with the Fast 17" wheels (don't know exactly the model). I currently have the CSA Galdiator 17" (from my former E46) and they fit just fine. A little bit more expensive though. The Fast's are approx 170 $ and the Dunlop's shud be around 290 $. That ought make 2200 $ tax in.

Is this meet on Sunday still a go ahead?

Yahoo weather is predicting a low of -4 and snow showers on Sunday.

Geez ! you're playing with fire here. Don't be a benoitch ( - as so nicely put by Bimmerista).

Of course, it would a lot nicer if we could have a nice weather (pictures and clean cars). If the weather is really going to be bad, maybe we should try to postpone it. But it might be difficult to schedule another time with everyone. But some that could not make it, might be able ... Dunno .

Hello.

I have been buzy at work today so i am just signing on for a moment now.

We,re on for Sunday alright - and yes hopefully without snow, but ssam should get those winters on.

I know I am behind the info curve, but on the winter tire deal, I got mine (M5 Replica wheels with Dunlop M3 DSSTs) from tiretrends for $2,000.00 mounted, balanced and shipped !!!

Not peanuts, but the best price yet. So you may want to try that on lazer Auto to lower their prices. As well, the same combo with the ASA wheels come out (apparently) to just under $2,000 (Canadian) if ordered from Tire Rack .

I got 225.45.17 allround for winter.

You know me, I don't work so no excuse for me

At Lazer Auto you can get Fast wheels with Dunlops for a total of approx. 1820 + tx (installed as well). That's the lowest I've seen. From Tire Rack don't forget the prohibitve shipping and customs that make the bill sky rocket ! Tire Trends is another good deal, but I prefer to stay local in my case (even though I did not have to get new wheels after all).

Yeah, so around $2 grand should take care of it.

BTW now it appears that Sunday we'll have 5-7 degrees and rain (which is not great but better than snow).

So ssam can procrastinate some more. Even though at 7 degress the summer tires are hard as rock and in rain would slide around way too much.

So if you can get those tires ASAP.

BTW Benoitch I wish you a speedy return to the ranks of those employed....Not that there is anything wrong with not being employed (to paraphrase Sinefeld, my favorite comedy show since MASH)

I don't understand. I've had Toyos Garrit HT for more than 5 years now on various cars and I've never had this kind of problem on rain. How fast were you going ? ... Seriously, the E90 can keep the car in a curve much faster than many other cars. Which means sometimes we tend to attack a curve much faster than the tires can handle whatever they are. Which is your tire reference ?

I don't know... even today they were pretty slippery. I don't know the tire reference off hand (I'm like a woman with these things).

So what is the plan for tomorrow? Who's showing up, is everyone showing up? I'm on the fence...

Hello everyone - I am going to be there 8:30 Am. I better not be alone

Findtom, you have to come - Have you checked the tire pressure ?

Unless they are underinflated, the only other thing I can think of is that the tires are new and they still release a little bit of oil, which could make them slip on water. If I am correct, it will go away.

So I hope at least one of us will have a digicam tomorrow so we can post our pics on the site. I of course have already admitted to not owning one at this moment (my wife decided that we need one - I think I might relent soon and get one).

Looking forward to tomorrow's meet and meeting all of you in person

PS, my car will be the dirty one

Ummm.... okay so I didn't hear anything before I left for dinner at 7, which turned into drinks, which turned into more drinks, which turned into my car is currently parked in the plateau waiting for me to retrieve it tomorrow morning after my friend picks me up and we go for breakfast.

I'm really sorry guys, but I'm not going to make this one!

It should be correct as they do it when they put the tires on.

Something is definately a bit weird though. The traction control is constantly kicking in even when there's no way I'm skidding.

Ahhhhh looks like fun. I won't miss the next one!

I'm not sure which shows the dirt worse, white or black... but all your cars look awesome! White/black would have been my first choice actually but they didn't have one with the specs I wanted. I'm jealous of your bumpers without holes drilled in them.

HI guys. Sorry I did not reply sooner. I went skating with my boy in the afternoon. It was really nice meeting all of you (please excuse my bad english this morning).

Nice pics ssam (also please excuse me all for not remembering all of your names - I'm so bad with names; faces, I have an elephant memory...). I think the pictures show the "real life bimmer world" we were in this morning (to steal Stew's own idea ).

BTW, Stew, thanks a lot ! My car now looks like shit now. It is filthy dirty Nice going ! I thought you had some contact higher up . Now I"ll have to wash it again tomorrow morning! Nice road (remember my story including sands?). I feel like it should have lasted longer. Maybe next time, if there is one.

Bimmerista, ssam, did you encounter that minivan on our way back ? I guess so since you were right behind me. I came across it right in the tight turns and it was driving midway in my lane  It makes me angry when people don't know how to drive. I'm sure I had just enough space on the right... Also, Bimmerista, did you hit that bump in the downhill straight on our way back ? Christ, I really thought I had broken something. Maybe I'm tooooo worried! It's my baby . Also, BTW, you drive too fast for me on the highway. You never get tickets ??? Did you notice you were for a while driving at 170 km/h ? Nice drive still...

I'm sure people we passed by thought we all went for an off-road trip with our cars so dirty. White OR black OR SG: all alike in this case

Can't wait for Stew's pics as well.

See ya all later (I guess).
