So I just had the windows on my new car tinted today with LLumar Stratos 50% on all windows. VA requires 50% on front side windows and can have 35% on the rest.
So now I noticed that the back window has a strange headlight glare caused by the rear window defrosters. My son now tells me that that is common and his car does the same. He has LLumar Pinnacle. Is this common and do you have the same issue with other brands? The guys did a great job installing but I wish I was warned ahead of time.

It's happened with all the cars I've had ceramic tinting on in the past, don't know if it's specific to ceramic though. You'll get used to it though and the benefits outweigh the negatives.

That is what my son said. That said then the guys at LA Tint did a great job. I didn't want the two tone look with side windows so I keep everything the same 50%. This LLumar Stratos tint has a 99.5 UV rejection value to protect that great leather. It's a multilayered film.

I just had my windows tinted as well. I also live in VA but chose to take the risk and go 35% front and back so it had the same look. I went with the 3M tint and they did a great job, however i have the same thing on the rear window. It gets a glare at each defrost line. Little annoying but I'm getting use to it slowly.
I added before and after pics. |

dam virgina! they're stiklers on tint, especially the VHP. I remember getting pulled over by VHP in VA Bch in my grand national and the officer threatened to inpound my car if i didnt remove my tint right there.
