So… last winter there was a time the brakes were squeaking and it resolved when weather warmed up. This year, cold as h@ll right now and squealing returns. If braking hard, no squeal. Drive like a limo driver… squalling in stereo.

I know there is a sacrificial wire that trips the pad wear warning, but I have not seen that. The car had 8mm pad remaining at 27k. Now at 47k it’s time for brakes assuming i have 4-5mm pad left?

I didn’t realize the mileage I had put on car in 12 months till I itemized this posting. 🧐. 18-20k /year is a-lot more than expected.
