Sterling Automotive do some at a very reasonable price. I have their bodykit and is very good quality, so I would expect the mirror covers to be just as good.

Hope this helps
Hey mate

Thanks for this.

Re RHD - that's what I thought too. In fact the seller mentioned they could have sent me LHD by mistake. The markings inside suggest they're LHD but they're insisting they are not. I'm not convinced - think they're just fobbing me off.

Glad you mentioned Sterling - saw these too when I did a quick google. For that price I was going to question the quality but if you've bought from them already I'll trust your judgement. Might go for these! After I return these others first.

Thanks again! Much appreciated!
No worries

Sterling's quality is up there with OEM. I was really impressed with the quality and the fitment is on point so the mirror caps should be all good.

Let me know how it all goes.

MST Intake -

Finally got round to fitting the MST Intake Kit last weekend. I would like to say a big thank you to buddyboy for the advice and pictures. It made the whole install process go alot smoother!

All I can say is - I wish I had done this along time ago! Very happy with the noise it makes and just makes that smile on your face stay there that much longer

In terms of quality, everything seems to be well made. Fitment wise, being an aftermarket kit - it did require some on the spot thinking. Ideally I would of liked the filter cone to sit more into the enclosure but other then that, no other issues. Also, the enclosure is not fully 'sealed' like the OEM box. I guess this isn't too much of a bad thing as it allows you to hear it more!

The sound of the exhaust and the sound of this now go very well together in my opinion! There is room for improvement on the exhaust as I still have the standard exhaust system (modified by PCW) and a VRSF Catted Down Pipe. It sounds good but I think with something like the Remus, it will sound much much better.

Few pics below from the day.

Glad I could help, one mod I got done before you! it's does have some interesting whooshes and boo noises on partial throttle!

I suggest to re tighten the clamps in a few days once it get a few heat cycles, incase anything slips loose

Checked the clamps on Sunday - all good! It does make some good sounds!!

Been looking at the Remus Axel Back. I did contact Winparts but because of Brexit they have stopped shipping to the UK

I have found a UK company who will do it with the straight edge tips for around £1300 which isn't too bad.

The actual indicator is attached to the mirro cap with 2 small torx screws.

Happy with the end result of this little change (Last pic is the before/after)

There is a video posted on my IG.

Not bad for £15 delivered! They have RHD and LHD - just select the correct one . Delivery is around 5/6 weeks.

Roof Wrap -

Had my roof wrapped in Gloss Black Vinyl over the weekend. I've seen a few pictures of white G30's with the contrasting roof and thought it would also work well against Bluestone Metallic.

A1CustomsUK in Lichfield was recommended to me by a few people. I'm very happy with the outcome. It took a few hours to do as I also had the roof trims/moldings done and also had it all ceramic coated. Looks super glossy with a flawless finish

Roof wrap looks great, it goes well with all the other gloss black trim pieces.

Can you comment on the MSS springs now that you have them fitted a few months? I think i'll be removing the H&R springs from mine and possibly changing to a set of MSS instead. How are they over the likes of speed bumps and bad surfaces?

Thanks mate

To me, the MSS is probably one of the best modifications I've done to the car. I've had Eibach springs on cars in the past and they haven't sat as low as I would of liked... with these, you set the height on the adjuster and it goes to that (there is some settling afterwards over a period of time but not much). The other benefit is that they have been designed to work with the OEM shocks and don't cost as much as a set of coilovers (in terms of being height adjustable)

Over bumps, in comfort mode I tend to find it a little more bouncy but in sport mode it handles them a lot better as the car feels more stiffer (if that makes sense). Driving wise - the car feels more planted and you can power in and out of the bends with confidence. For a big car it has made it handle so much better over stock. When I had my 759i wheels, I was able to run a 15mm spacer at the front with a 30mm drop on the springs. Fitment and look was perfect. Since putting on the BBS wheels, I have dropped to a 10mm spacer as the new wheels poke out 4mm more.

UKF30 has recently bought a set of MSS for his G30 LCI. I have been looking at springs for my wife's 340i - most likely I will go MSS too. They cost alot more then a normal spring set but I think it's worth it, just for the look alone

It's a shame that you're far from me otherwise you could of had a look and drive of my car to test them out.

Thanks for the info, your comments seem to match that of the other BMW platform reviews(F90, F8 etc) i could find online i think ill order a set up, Evolve have a set in stock, i think the -35mm H&R springs are too low for the adaptive dampers and the bumpy Irish roads. Ill stick them up for sale, I'm sure some local 520D owner will snap them up

Is it easy to adjust the springs once fitted while on the car ? or is it a wheel off job for better access?

No worries

Evolve were the guys that supplied and fitted mine. I think it's well worth it and you won't be disappointed.

I've tried it once - jacked both sides of the front up, it's easier with the wheel off as the arch liner can get in the way and obscure your view. Once the wheel is off, you'll be able to get the C Spanner around the coupler to adjust it. They recommend a 5mm difference between the front and rear heights.

Turbo Heat Shield

Fitted an Osprey Performance Turbo Heat Shield to the engine bay. Aesthetically, it looks good but also serves a purpose of keep the temps lower near the intake. For the price, I thought I'd try it.

It was a simple install. You just need to remove 2 x 13mm bolts from the cylinder head cover and fit this part in-between. Retighten the bolts to 19Nm
