SLI & HUD Overspeed Stopped Working

Hi

So I have a 03/2019 530e which I bought at in Jan last year. I had SLI coded and all has worked fine until the other day. It appears that a low keyfob battery stopped my steering column working. Neither comfort entry/exit or manual control would move the column.

Fault finding I reset my driver profile and after a new battery it all started working again. However since then I've lost the option to stop the speed in the HUD turning red when going over the limit picked up by the SLI. I know 100% that I used to have it and it wasn't switched on.

The guy who coded SLI has checked it and says all coding is good and doesn't know why that option has gone or indeed how to turn it off and it's doing my head in seeing the speed flick between white and red all the time.

There is nowhere else in idrive that I can change this, I've been through everything so I'm hoping someone here with coding/SLI knowledge can assist me.

Attached is an image of HUD settings showing the option I don't have.

Thanks for your help in advance .

Sorry it's not flickering, but when hovering between 29 and 31 it's constantly changing.

Here we can mostly drive up to 10 mph over the speed limit without getting a photoradar type ticket. So mine just stays red.

I don't recall there ever being a setting to stop it from changing once you passed the speed limit. It would be nice if BMW allowed us to (a) shut it off; or (b) choose our own settings. Then, again, it would be nice if BMW allowed us to choose our binnacle display settings as well.

Someone with ways may be able to state which value needs to be changed to get that option displaying again, then hopefully you can set it to enabled.

Check for HUD parameters in Headunit. Search for CB_ parameters. One of them is for this option but I can not remember the exact parameter. I hope this helps
