have you noticed the store rating on Aliexpress:

LookAtCar Store - 63.6% Positive feedback (generally I would avoid such shops)

(a new bumper and a new grill is always needed for LCI ugrade -new shape lights! - they offer the bumper as well)

in the other offer from that shop: "For BMW M3 2020 Laser Headlight Assembly" the sticker on headlights are not from HELLA but from AL Automotive Lighting - Marelli-Bosch ?)

So guys, let me get this straight…For a like for like change of pre LCI Adaptive HL to LCI AHL, you don’t need an emulator module, just change wiring (turn signal pin)?
And then coding, of course

Hi guys, think I need to possibly reactivate this thread. I'm trying to retrofit my G31 pre LCI with AHL pre LCI (SA552) using used parts. When I connect the new headlights, CAFD reads FFFFFFFF.255.255.255 and I can't code it. In post #14, kubax86 answered to another user with an obviously similar problem that he has to flash FLM. Is that what I have to do, too? Please, no guesses, answer only if you know.

Did you try injecting cafd using esys?
Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (ECU)=> Left-Click on FLM2 => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level shown (bottom) => Select OK => Right-Click on FLM2 (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

I can have a look at it if it doesnt work

Yes, I'm using E-Sys 3.30 with full Psdzdata and valid token. I adapted FA/FP and injected new FA/FP with expert mode => VCM. I generated new CAFD's for the affected ECU's by using "coding verification" (following an instruction I found in another thread) and injected them (coding tab => CAFD => new => select new CAFD => FDL coding). This works fine except CAFD 222D in the new FLM. There, I get errors when I try to code it as well as when trying to read old coding data or ECU ID. I want to try flashing the ECU next, as proposed in another thread; but I'm afraid that I might again get no access to do so.
