How long after Brake Pad light can you still drive?
I've had the Brake Pad service light and it says "Brake pads must be replaced. You can continue driving, but only for a short duration".
My local shop is closed on weekends so I'm wondering how critical it actually is? It's for the rear brake pads by the way. |

When I replaced my girlfriends pads when the light started burning, each pad still had about 2mm left (and she already drove 5000km after the light started burning).
In other words, make the appointment at your convenience. They need to-be replaced, but you can still safely drive around for some time. |

You can last as long as you're willing to get into a car that has error messages & exclamation marks all over your dash...
