G30 Technical Service Bulletin 194006

So I have an active dme fault code

194006 TANK LEAKAGE DETECTION
MODULE, SOLENOID VALVE: JAMMED OPEN

Anyone run into this issue? There's a TSB on this meaning it's a common enough issue for BMW. My car is out of warranty as of this past August so I'm trying to figure out if this is something BMW will still repair for free or if this is an out of pocket expense. I know someone here has had to or dealth with this any info is appreciated. Thanks.

It will be up to what you can negotiate with your service advisor and BMWNA. Something related to the gas tank could be considered "emissions" related and part of the extended emissions parts warranty

The TSB notes that it is covered under the new car warranty, but doesn't mention any additional time period.

That being said, it may very well be covered under the Federal Emissions Warranty or your State Emissions Control Warranty as 430Scud mentioned. The only way to get a definitive answer will be to take it into BMW and see where it lands.

Just got the same code, coincidentally shortly after a fuel fill. Thought it might be the gas cap. Tlightened and drove for a week, but still have SES light on dash. Am told NVLD pressure switch needs to be replaced. Quoted $700.00

Curious if you contacted BMWNA and, if so, the result. Ive only got 21K miles on my 540.
