Hi, I have a 2020 M550i x drive, got 21 inch rims, 8.5 and 9.5 wide.

Looking at Michelin Pilot sport 4s tires. 245/40 21 and 275/35 21. Trying to figure out if it will fit the car no problem, if it's a good size?

Or should I go with 245/35 21 and 285/30 21?

I would personally not go over 20 inch rims as that is the maximum rim diameter fitted for the G30 from factory.

This would be the upper limit:

245/35ZR20 95Y 8Jx20 ET30
275/30ZR20 97Y 9Jx20 ET44

I see you also have X drive and by changing the total wheel diameter you can easily mess up the X drive system, it happened before.

I am not saying that your setup would not phisically fit, they will, but you may end up with issues in the future: ride quality, vibrations, X drive issues, also your car will sit higher and your speedo will be slightly off.

40 profil will be too big on 21s.

Hello, you should go with 245/35 21 and 285/30 21. I have 255/35/21 and 295/30/21 and the fronts rub sometimes. 245/35/21 and 285/30/21 would be perfect fitment.

Diameter would be way too high.

With 21" wheels, you can go 255/30 front and 295/25 rear.
