Found in my boot

So I decided that having owned the car for 3 months, it is about time that I opened the manual which was sealed in a bag and placed in the boot.

In side the bag I also found a set of screws and adhesive pads.

Any idea what these are for?

They are for the front license plate bracket. I haven’t figured out what the three foam pads are used for.

Thank you that makes sense now. Like an idiot, I was looking around the boot for loose trim.

Did you find the front license plate bracket? Mine was under the trunk floor cover.

Foam pads go behind the front plate bracket to supposedly protect bumper. There's similar pads behind rear plate.

I always thought the pads where there to dampen the license plate from rattling.
