To Screw or not to screw?

Hey Everyone
This is an open question to all about cosmetic modifications. Im using 3M auto tape to attach a trunk spoiler. ABS plastic nothing big. My question.
Should I also use some screws through the trunk as a safety precaution? I see some holes on the spoiler bottom. There are no instructions on mounting. I have read comments on the site, plus I You Tubed the topic it to death. Im not too worried about it blowing off. Im worried that someone would try to rip it off, and steal it. All advice is appreciated. My lack of knowledge no's no bounds.

The 3M automotive tape should be just fine. Depending on the width of the spoiler, you should use at least two rows of tape; front, back & middle, if there's room.

3m tape will be fine as long as the surface has been prepped properly before sticking it all down.

NO!!! Do not drill holes in your trunk. 3M automatic adhesive tape will hold 90% of the spoilers our there. The only way someone is going to get it off is with some fishing line. If someone wants it that bad, they are going to do a job on the car whether you have screws or not because they won't know.

The other 10% of spoilers call for betalink. It's permanent adhesive.
